Well, to be fair I never saw the movie itself, and even then, I never had a focused look of the cover of the movie at Block Buster and the like, so all around I never recognized him as that role :/

Well from what I'm told, The movie did not do well at the box office. So I'm actually not surprised that he isn't known for that role.

It makes me so happy that you included One Hour Photo. It's such an underrated movie, and to this day it's still one of my favorites. It was one of the first movies I'd seen where Robin Williams did a straight dramatic role with none of his usual comedic or inspirational act whatsoever-- and his performance was brilliant (not to mention beautifully complimented by the impeccable cinematography). It was amazing to see Robin delve into places of such darkness and emotional torment. It really showcased his versatility, and cemented my respect for him not just as a great comedian, but as a great actor. He will really be missed.
