A first attempt at the cover for my comic. I say "attempt" because there are somethings I think I can improve on it ( I could have chosen a better angle for instance ). Overall though I am happy with the effort on it

Only thing I'm not crazy about is the robot hands crushing what ever that is he's standing on. Its a little confusing I think, kind of messes with the perspective. Besides that its very strong and like others said, I'd pick it up based on this alone. Nicely done.

Agreed, it was a test and in 20/20 I think there are TONS of ways I would improve it.

awesome pic. love the stance.
tho, for a cover... it might not fly. i think you need to see the protagonist's face, either with him facing the viewer or with his head turned... or add a unique feature/ icon/symbol/whatever, to the character that makes him stand out (like the pill on kaneda's red biker jacket)

ah i dont know of any sites that teach pixel art... everything i learned about it was 'on the job'
i sposse i could write up a basic 'how to' if i have the energy.
is there anything in particular you want to use pixel art for? animating, tile work, character sprites?

The only thing i think i would change would be to push the "camera" away more. That way you'd get a little more background and really see the scope of the robot. All in all a solid peice!!

I don't know, man. This is pretty solid and I'd pick up the book and leaf through it just based on this cover image alone. Still it's our lot in life to never be satisfied with what we produce. Keep up the great work.
