I feel like using fractals as brushing and lighting effects is cheating, but you used it to good measure in this piece. The chaos is kind of overwhelming, but it allows a certain amount of interest to be maintained. I do love the colors, but some more contrast and depth would make this piece incredible; give it a bit of an atmosphere.

I can only say that I am consistently amazed by the power of fractal imagery and manipulation these days. This image is positively explosive - the colors and the strong value contrasts really do catch my eyes and capture my imagination.
