Actually, the octolings we fight in the games are around an average age of a young adult. Around 20 while most of inklings are around 15 years old. Squid Sisters are around 20 years old too. Cpt. Cuttlefish and DJ Octavio however are pretty old. Just imagine Octavio cosplaying Darth Sidious.

Yes. Since Octarians have purple eyeline, Β I always imagined that Octolings' eyes would be like that too. I really wish they look that way in the actual game when they become available and customizable.
