You pulled it off nicely in this series.

I love old machines and gauges and clocks and things with moving parts and gears. They intrigue me. You found a fantastic use for it in this shot.

Will there be more of the series?

Definitely. I hope to explore it much further, and I really would like to develop my photography more in this style. I love it, as well!

Yessir! haha, I have a small story written up about her, and when I get to shoot more photos, I will post more and more of the story. Hopefully it will be a rather large body of work!

You literally have this written out as a story line? Or did you write a story and then decide to create photos to go along?

Sorry to keep going with the comment thread. But you really have caught my attention with all of this. Let me know when I've wasted enough of your time.

Hahaha not at all! I showed my tutor the photographs, and he said 'What story do you want me to get out of this?' And I thought, well, I really didn't have a story in mind when I was shooting, just a feeling or an emotion. So I decided to write a little paragraph, (it's only around 300 words long,) to go along with the photographs. I thought it turned out really well, and that a series of photos that went along with the story would be really cool, and maybe that would make the "story" in my photos stronger.

Cool. Make sure the photos themselves, individually and collectively, tell a story, regardless of your written story. That will be the real beauty of the results of this endeavor.

I think it's a wonderful undertaking. I'll be checking for new installments regularly.

Love how you used the barometer and the clock here--very steampunk. (Watched The Golden Compass tonight.) The angle of the photo makes me even dizzier than I already am. Another gorgeous shot you two!

I think I might like this better if it were rotated 90 degrees, as if she were using it as a pillow. Still, really nice capture.

The original orientation of the photo was portrait.. but I really liked it as a landscape better, I don't know, I think it made the lines easier for my eye to follow. That's just me though, thank you soo much for the comments and favourites, I'm really glad you enjoy these photographs.

By the way I think I am going to start reading Gloria Fidelis!
