This is astonishing. How did u achieve that level of contrast? Was it using specific lighting? Or did u enhance it in photoshop? Or was that exactl how the picture came out? This is just amazing by far one of my favorite piks i have seen on deviant art.. You seem like an amazing photographer. I would appreciate your critique on my photos

The way I did it was to adjust the shadows and highlights sliders in photoshop, then I added a tiny bit of luminosity, (because too much looks horrible!)
The lighting was natural outdoor light when I took the picture.

now i understand, it was photoshop. When you said it wasnt photoshop i was like HOW DID U DO IT!?!?! lol.. now i get it.. it is an astonishing picture. You did the right amount of editing.. DEF my favorite!

I love the sense of a mystical, magical setting for these last few photos, beginning with Steampunk.
A little girl and her imagination, dress up and magical devices, marvels of a different place or time.
And the tones in them are wonderful and actually add to (or create) the sense I get from these.
Wonderful pieces. I love the old barometer/weather device.

I saw that old barometer hanging in my parents' study, and I had never really noticed it before. It just screamed 'take a picture of me!'
