JON TAKES GARFIELD TO GET HIS BOOSTER…

JON ARBUCKLE: Say, Liz, that's a fancy-looking syringe.
LIZ WILSON: Uh-oh! Uh, Jon, it looks like I accidentally injected your cat with snail plasma
JON AND LIZ: Uh-oh...
GARFIELD: Now I actually have an excuse to be slow and lazy

When Jon takes Garfield to Liz the vet for an ordinary booster shot, Jon notices that Liz is using a fancy-looking, shell-shaped syringe. Liz then realizes that she accidentally injected Garfield with snail plasma, and Jon and she faint once Garfield turns into a snail. Garfield, however, seems unalarmed - thinking that being a snail gives him an excuse to be slow and lazy.

For those who might not know, this is a reference to the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "I Was a Teenage Gary" in which SpongeBob and Squidward turn into snails after being injected with snail plasma. That episode has always given me the creeps.

This was drawn on July 20, 2018, and is #2018-6. However, I finished coloring this on July 21st. Also, the original drawing was erroneously labeled "#2018-5," so I edited it out of the picture.
