Every year I celebrate the anniversary of キミとワタシのオンガク (Kimi to Watashi no Ongaku, which means "the music of you and me", or "you and my music"), the first-ever Alt song with a unique music video made for it upon its release, because the song is so special to me. The song came out on the day I won my final spelling bee which makes it even more special. So how do I celebrate?! By drawing, of course! Although this year's drawing is a l'il different from the past years' because it's also for an Art Jam I took part in on Discord!

With vaporwave being the focus of this art jam I've decided to try my hand at mimicking that "80's anime VHS tape" style I see lots of artists who make art of that aesthetic do. That means drawing Alt with big shiny eyes like in the WIN animation of hers in her classic design - something the Alt used in キミとワタシのオンガク's music video doesn't possess, which is why I had to sacrifice drawing the cool blue Alt in favor of her classic pink scheme.

"0/1 ANGEL" does have quite the 80s feel to it, though, and it quite suits this style - and I even chose a quote from that song as the typical vaporwave "subtitle" for this piece. The キミとワタシのオンガク influence isn't completely absent, though - the color motifs of the music video, pink, yellow, green and blue, are still prevalent in the background.
