ForHamramon chatting casually with his friends from Bits and Bytes..?
Haha, I wanted him to tell the story about his and Jemi's past. This comic will have 3 parts, this is the first one - and focuses on Jemi, the next part will focus on Hamramon, and the last one on both of them..
Since this comic isn't entirely fiction...
Let's have some.. TRUE FACTS:
- I saw a Digimon on TV when I was 10-11, since that's when Digimon Adventure aired here in Finland.
- Naturally I also "met" Ken-kun through the TV (he really had such a great influence on me, that I had to include him here. and he really was part of the reason I got back on my feet back then)
- Yes, I was also bullied at school
- The loneliness really made me get seriously depressed for a couple of years (don't worry, it's been over 10 years since then. I'm fine now.)
- I used to escape the reality by going into my own "fantasy worlds" inside my head (you could call that dark ocean, I suppose..)
- I started to cheer up when I was 13.
Uh, I don't know.. Having my younger self as a character feels a bit embarrassing at times.. Oh well... Next time, let's have some embarrassing facts about Hamramon's past instead! xD

By the way, I have another reason to include Ken. Since my digivice in real life is a D3, I wanted to have a reason to have such a digivice (in case I ever want to change it in the story). In the show it was explained that those certain children got a D3 to match the digivice of the "Digimon Kaiser" aka Ken Ichijouji. And other children who weren't involved with Ken just had the "old model"... So getting myself involved with Ken makes it possible for me to have a D3 in the story, if I wish so..

^^ i saw a device that can capture the vhs videos and transfer them into digital format. Thats means i can do the digimon movie and even Kiki's Delivery Service. I only like the VHS vers as it has the most dialogue added.

I know what that feeling is, in school nobody ever liked me. I started watching Digimon with 6-10 years (and still see and I'm 15 now) I have many things similar to Ken, jealous brother (not quite jealous that I have) but I hate that my parents praise my brother. Because I never praise me. But there are other things that happens to me. But I will not fall into the error of Ken "want my brother disappears" does not want it! I love very much, but my brother too. My Onii-chan.
Many think that does NOT exist Dark Ocean. But actually there. Begins from the moment we enter melancholy, depression, sadness, loneliness, anger, hatred, fear and other negative feelings is because we are in the Dark Ocean. I do not know what I say is philosophy. Maybe is the philosophy of life.... i think

I think I was more like Osamu / Sam (Ken's brother) myself. I was a "child genius", and my little sister was jealous of me... But our parents didn't really praise either of us much - I guess they were too busy to really pay attention to us back then..
But even though me and Ken were different, I saw that the pain we felt was the same. And it made me feel less lonely.
I always wished for Ken to become happy ^^
Yeah, the people who've been there know that the Dark Ocean does exist. Others just can't see it..

Digimon is for any age in addition. The Digimon is not for small children, already proved that. +13 (we can see in Digimon Xros Wars lol)
Hm ... I'm a mixture of Daisuke and Ken. Maybe you questions "why Daisuke" because everyone thinks an idiot, stupid and jerk.
I am very intelligent, but I have bad grades. I have bad grades because I spend my life "playing" I'm always on the computer etc..
I do not like when my father (my mother does not) my father praises ahead of others "just" my brother and me never.
I for example. I'm not a great student in the gym. But I was two consecutive years first in cross-country. In other words I'm very good at running. But I never saw my father to praise me, but my brother in cross-country had been in the twelfth praises forever ....
I was in the first two years running. I just feel like my father loves my brother more than me.
Now answering, like the "Daisuke". Actually, I do not know if you know. "Natsu and Tobira" A girl who knows Daisuke, called Nat-chan. Both are my favorite characters (and my OTP lol: Natsuke)
Because I feel lonely and want someone like Daisuke. Also hate the summer because I'm alone, I have no one. No one to come out, who go to the beach or pool.
As Ken had explained, the Dark Ocean is a projection of the human mind. In other words, created with negative feelings.

Hopefully your father will see your good points eventually, and learns to appreciate you as much as you'd deserve to be appreciated (without comparing to anyone else)!

I don't think Daisuke seems that much of an idiot with the original (japanese) voice, just misunderstood. But there are too many added jokes in the english dub, that just make him seem silly, in my opinion..
Anyway, I always saw Daisuke as someone very genuine and caring. He would go to great lengths to help his friends, even if he complains a little. Sadly he had no luck in love. I always felt a little sorry for him because of that. >_<
I'd call Daisuke a "warm person" - that's the kind of feeling I get from him.

I watched Digimon in Portuguese (mother tongue), English and Japanese.
Now you took the words of the mouth, wish there was more people. digimon fans who liked the Daisuke. Daisuke like you said, is a character warm (warm and hot heehhe sorry ...)
I know CD Drama. and I am a fan. Completely fan. I must be the only one to have as OTP Natsuke. I can not stop thinking about another girl for Daisuke. I think it's perfect for him.
It's funny that I have for such theories. I really think Daisuke married her and is a cute OTP, my favorite (and Kenyako and Kaiyako..yeh I like Kaiser and Miyako... im crazy?? O.O)

I've watched Digimon in finnish (the worst dub ever), and japanese, but I own the DVD box of the 2. season in english..
I'm quite neutral when it comes to pairings in Digimon, but I like Kenyako. And I've seen some really funny fanart pictures / comics of Kaiyako, so I don't think it's crazy to like it (if it was, then I'd be crazy as well)

I realized we have a lot in common about the true facts: I began watching Digimon when I was around at the same age as you were when the show aired in Sweden, I've got bullied by the other children everyday at school because I was different for my Asperger, and got depressed for a while until I moved to a new school, and I used to escape the reality by going into my own "fantasy worlds" when it was too much for me.

Ah, asperger can make one's life a bit complicated at times.. I remember admiring the other children because of their social skills, thinking "it's like natural to them". It took me years to understand that it really was natural to them, and I was the weird one who had to think carefully my every word and every move. ^^"

Because of my Aspergers and my own shyness, I became a victim for the other children. But today, I'm more open and confident so no one can harm me again verbally. They never hurt me physically (sorry if I spell some words wrong. I'm writing on my iPad.)

When you have no one by your side, it's hard to ignore them, but if you have even a single friend, you don't necessarily even notice someone is trying to make fun of you. That's what I've learned since then. ^^

My parents sheltered me a lot when I was younger so after school the characters from Digimon and other cartoons were my friends. Ken was one of my favorites and I absolutely adored Wormmon.
I like how Jemi saw things differently than he did.
