I'm excited for Sonic Boom, both the game and TV show (even though I'm more likely to get a PS4 than a WiiU haha). I mean, look at the lush game environment! And more playable characters - it's been eons since we were last able to do that! I believe that the game is in good hands under BigRedButton Entertainment. Even though Sonic Boom's style may not be "Sonic-y", I still think that the sub-series will be worth following.

I don't really mind the Boom character designs or BoomSonic's arms being blue I think most people complain about his blue arms because they're used to them being peach? I do think BoomKnuckles should've been a little shorter though.

About this artwork - I drew SegaSonic in midair because he is more or less kinda like a free spirit, and we're all familar with his action-packed adventures. BoomSonic, on the other hand, has been shown to engage more in combat with his allies, which...indirectly...makes him less of a "free spirit" than SegaSonic, hence the fighting stance here. At least, that's the vibe I get from the trailers so far. We don't really know much about him other than developer interviews placing emphasis on him being an adventurer.

Anyway, I love both incarnations for different reasons, and I hope you enjoy this artwork as much as I did drawing it! ^_^

Time taken: 10+ hours. BoomSonic's lineart took 3 hours if I remember correctly.

I actually did the highlights on BoomSonic as I did on SegaSonic, but that made BoomSonic too similar to SegaSonic side-by-side rather than being an incarnation of its own. But since BoomSonic looked okay with highlights on his own, I decided to upload that separately here:
