I was actually going to draw a comic based on Chao, but ended up with this instead. Looks like I'm not ready to do draw a full comic yet. :/Tails, like Silver, is another one of my favourite Sonic characters, so I tend to draw him and Silver more often. Tails is much easier to draw than Silver though, mainly because of a simpler "hair" and shoe design.
Done in PaintTool SAI on 8 June 2012. Took me about 4 hours in total, I think.

Aww thanks so much for the compliment! I had to observe some of Tails' official 2D artwork to get the details right ^_^ Like the amount of space between his ears, the space between each of his muzzle fur, his tail pattern, e.t.c...
