Connected to the Earth dimension by way of a few heavily guarded portals and passways, the world of Darkmarch is home to ancient horrors, wicked fiends, and forgotten powers of a terrible nature. The people of this world, thought by some to be the place where nightmares come from, have adapted to the life that existence on Darkmarch demands, and so developed powers and abilities that make them the equal of many of Earth's superheroes.

Maya Von Christien, daughter of an Earth diplomat and a Darkmarch matriarch, was raised on Earth for her safety and to give her a chance at a life free from the possibility of instant, eternal, damnation. As an adult, Maya has decided to use her otherworldly gifts to help the people of the Earth dimension, and bring them hope. "Hope for the hopeless," is the first prayer of her people, and she intends to see it made a reality here on Earth.

Maya's powers are: Flight (Obviously), energy projection (balls of energy), energy manipulation (moderate healing abilities and short range teleportation), shadow camouflage, claws on her hands and feet (for climbing and combat), and sharp, pointy teeth.

A special note for anyone doing a concept trade of Maya - Her shoulders are supposed to look as though they're too far apart. She has an extra joint along her collarbone/shoulder area where her wings join up to her skeleton.
