In Norse myth Loki turned himself into a mare to distract the stallion that was being used to build a giant wall (if it was completed in a certain amount of time the gods would have to give the sun, moon and the goddess Frejya as payment which they didn't want to do). Loki got himself pregnant by the stallion and later gave birth to the 8 legged horse Sleipnir (hence the 'Mommy look at me'). [link]
