I'm writing a novel as part of a Nerdist/Inkshares competition about a video-game playing octopus and would be interested in paying someone to do some concept artwork. I love what you have done and so wondered if you would be interested in talking? You can check out my story at www.inkshares.com/books/squids… It's currently in 5th place overall. The top 3 get immediately published.

Very neat! I love your novel's concept, very funny! I would be interested in talking more about this! Let me know what your preferred contact method would be and we'll see what fun ideas we can come up with!

Hey Jenc,
Thanks for coming back to me on this. Glad you like the concept.
There are a couple of scenes in my first chapter that I would love to see depicted:
1. A not-quite fully awake Toby encountering the octopus underwater for the first time after jumping into the pool in shorts.
2. Toby, wet and in shorts, throwing up into the pool while a crowd (led by a guy in just boxers) look on, a tentacle appearing from the water to scoop up some vomit.
3. Toby on a lilo in the pool playing a PSP handheld game console with tentacles starting to reach around over his shoulders to play.
With regards to the media type, I'm not sure. Based on these scenes, do you have any thoughts on this?
Matthew
