"Believe it - Dattebayo" yop, yop...Believe it or not - I am sooooooooooooooooo tired. I have been working on this for about a week now and I don't think I can add anything meaningful to it anymore - at least not tonight.
I am loving the all-mighty-magic-tablet eeeeheeeeheheee...

The characters 'Iruka Umino', 'Naruto Uzumaki', 'Kakashi Hatake', 'Kushina Uzumaki, 'Minato Namikaze' and 'Jiraiya' are fictional characters in the Naruto manga and anime series created by Masashi Kishimoto.
I used a variety of reference pictures from the manga for poses and all. The "frame" design was inspired by one of Toravi's pictures.

I'm curious what do they represent in this pick... all I can see is that Kakashi to Naruto is similar to Jiraiya to Minato... not romantically... where Iruka is like a mom to Naruto... am I right or is there more to it?

Ya, I see what you mean. My idea behind this was to show the support Naruto is/was getting from his family and teachers and how he grew strong because of it. They all believe in him and they all passed a piece of their philosophy and experience on to him to make him who he is. So even though the three in the back at dead, a little bit of them lives on in Naruto. Does that make some sense?

I agree, Naruto is always fun to draw. I also find Kakashi fairly easy, but I have been drawing him for a while now. I find Iruka really hard, his ponytail is the worse thing eva!
