and cool character
but we wont be seeing that guy for a while unless he cameo's in the Re:coded secret ending. or is the bad guy for KH3DS

Well, I'm going to guess that he definately has something to do with Ven, I mean, they fight almost exactly the same, and they way they hold their weapons are identical. But who knows, SE may finally be throwing in time travel for all we know. But, I'm still going with my Ven theory.

I see three possibilities:
1. MX's Nobody created from his left behind body and soul from the Keyblade Graveyard.
2. A strange vision of the future Aqua is having in the realm of darkness or something, like you said.
3. Eraqus' body and soul that was left behind when MX "killled" him.

There are too many clones/look alikes in this series. Hopefully the next saga won't be so complicated (though Nomura would probably make it MORE complicated)

Yeah. It's hard to treat this fight as canon though. Because someone scanned the guide book, and you can fight him not only as Aqua, but also as Terra or Ven. So I'm not sure how he fits in. Or maybe they'll just never state which one he actually fought.

I have a feeling, it might be cannon on Aqua's story, since she still has a much bigger role to play.

Hvae u spoiled BBS, because my answer/theory is based on what i've seen.
I think theres a chance it could be Xemnas, but not in a timetravel way. but in a this is just some sort of illusion/premonition.
I honestly think that maybe Aqua, had more of a pshyical premintion of the future. i mean we see Terra having something simialr to that and since they do have the same master, it wouldnt be impossible for them to have the same ablilites but with it's own difference.
