Pietro and Wanda Maximoff glared at each other with narrowed eyes.

It was only a week after the whole Ultron Incident and yet Pietro wanted to go out of bed and run.
Thanks to his Increased Metabolism, he had survived those terrible bullets.
Still, he was Inhuman and not invincible.

Pietro needed to rest to regain his strength.
However, the “older” twin wouldn't listen to his countless doctors.
Of course.

The other Avengers already tried to convince him to stay in bed, but didn't succeed.
There was only one person on this planet who could control Pietro Maximoff.
His twin.

“Pietro, I sweat to god, if you don't lay down again I will do things to you!” she exclaimed and paced around in his temporary room.
“Yeah, like what?” he answered while rolling his eyes and leaned back in his bed.
The brunette stopped walking. “I can get in your mind and reveal all your dirty little secrets.”

Pietro shrugged unconcernedly and turned on the little TV at the wall.
Being in the infirmary of the Avengers base had its perks.
“I have nothing to hide.”

“Not even your crush on (y/n)?” Wanda smiled gloatingly.
Her twin stopped in his movements immediately and turned around to her with big eyes.
Finally she had his attention.

“...You wouldn't dare tell her.” he blurted out.
She pouted innocently and shrugged just like him before. “Well, I have my ways...”

He gulped. “No.”
“It's your choice. Either you don't run and stay in bed for the next two weeks, or...”
Wanda's threat was big and dangerous for Pietro.

If you, (y/n), one of the Avengers and his secret crush since the very beginning, would find out that way...

“Hell, no.” he gave up and collapsed onto his pillows with a defeating expression.
Wanda couldn't help but raise her fist in the air. “Yes!! See ya later, loser! And don't drool when (y/n) comes to visit you!”

While she left, Pietro just groaned in agony.

You scratched your head and yawned as you walked to the kitchen.
It was way past midnight and you were just too hungry to sleep.

So you decided to get yourself a little snack before trying to fall asleep again.
Tomorrow was a bad day. Extra early training sessions with Steve and the newbies. Ugh.

As you walked through the dark corridors, you were surprised to see light coming from the kitchen.
Frowning, you quietly peeked through the keyhole.
And what you saw made you blush.
It was Pietro.

He stood next to the opened fridge and fed himself with cold pizza. That guy had a pretty big appetite.

But you couldn't blame him for sneaking in here to get some food.
Avengers Base or hospital, the food was terrible for the sick ones.

You smiled to yourself and felt the urge to join him. He'd gladly give you a slice.

The hand on the doorknob, you just wanted to open the door as suddenly...
He vanished.

Wait, no.

He ran away.
As quick as lightning.

You growled. “That sneaky little thing is still using his powers...”
Anger but also worry welled up in you.

Pietro needed to stay in bed and rest. Using his super speed wasn't good for his still weak body.
He finally needed to get that.
Otherwise something bad would happen to him.

Suddenly, you felt yourself grin as a sly idea turned into a full plan in your head.

Someone needed to put him in his place.
And that someone was you.
With a little help from your friendly Avengers.

Pietro was proudly watching TV.

Five days. For five days he was secretly outsmarting Wanda.
He promised her not to run really fast – she blackmailed him, in defense of him – and had obeyed to her wishes.
Well... for 24 hours.

Pietro chuckled and switched the channel.
He was just too smart of this world.

A knock on his door made him sigh in bliss. Finally someone was visiting him!

Tony Stark entered the room and grinned at him. “What up, Speedy?”
“Oh, nothing. Just lying around, you know. Going easy on myself.” Pietro replied.

Tony started to laugh and took a seat on a chair next to the patient. “Yeah, right. You can tell your sister that.”
Pietro blinked innocently. “I don't know what you're talking about.”

Tony wiggled his eyebrows. “Well, last night I was feeling hungry. So I got to the kitchen to grab something when I saw you there.”
The twin laughed nervously. “Crap. I thought I was careful enough.”
“It was pure coincidence I saw you. Even though I must say, you slowed down.”

That startled Pietro. “What do you mean?”
Tony leaned back and grinned him. “Well, after you ate your pizza, you ran away. Or... at least you thought you would.”
“I don't understand.”

He sighed. “Speedy, you were walking like an old lady. It almost looked slow motion.”
After a few seconds of bare panic, Pietro started to laugh hysterically. “Yeah, right. Wow, you almost got me.”

Tony remained serious. “I'm not joking. Even turtles can pass you with ease.”

Pietro starred at Tony like he was the one who had turned into a turtle.

“If you don't believe me, I can prove it.” Tony said and stood up with raised hands. “Let's make a foot race to the kitchen. To Thor's pop tarts.”
Pietro stood next to him and started to snicker. “Alright, Stark. But don't cry if you're only getting crumbs.”

“We shall see.” Tony grinned and opened the door before positioning himself next to Pietro again.

“Ready...” he said.
“Steady...” Pietro continued, determination in his eyes.
“Go!”

Pietro started running.
He felt no time flying by as he opened the door to the kitchen, confident of his victory when...

“WAIT WHAT?!” he screamed.

Tony was sitting on a table and ate a pop tart with relish, smiling like an idiot.
“I told you so.” he said and took the last bite of his treat.

Pietro felt like he had gotten insane.
That was not possible.
It couldn't be.

“No... that's some sort of trick. Come on, let's do it again. To my room. NOW!” Pietro screamed and dashed away...
...only to find Tony comfortably sitting on his bed, a sly grin on his face.

Pietro got pale and dashed back to the kitchen.
Tony sitting on the counter.

Back to his room.
Tony watching TV.

Back to the kitchen.
Tony drinking water.

Back to his room.
Tony playing chess.

Pietro collapsing on his bed.

“You look devastated, Speedy. But that's what you get for moving when you shouldn't.” Tony smiled.

Tony heard the muffled voice from Pietro who had a pillow lying on his face. “What are you talking about?”

“Well, I think your running powers are fading because you're not resting. Moving is bad for your body.” Tony said with an uncommon lovely tone.

“I will never run run again for the next two weeks.” Pietro vowed under his pillow.

“Hey, Speedy.” you smiled as you walked into Pietro's room.

He was packing his suitcase after his doctors had left.
The two weeks were finally over and Pietro was feeling great.

Better than that, he was feeling perfect.

This time he had been keeping his promise to Wanda. No more running.
He was too afraid of losing his running abilities.

As Pietro heard your voice, he turned around immediately and smiled back at you. “Hey, (y/n).”

You seated yourself on his former bed. “How are you feeling? Ready for taking over the world again?”
He chuckled and zipped his last bag. “I feel good. It's about damn time I get out of here. Even though I feel anxious about my fading-”

Stopping, he faked a cough. “-faaaaading fitness. Those muscles doesn't just appear.”
You felt your cheeks flushing by the thought of Pietro's abs.

“Well, how about another foot race with Tony? I'm sure you'll win this time.” you asked and got up.
“Yeah, I'd love to see if... Hold on, how do you know?” he asked and turned around. “Now I'm confused.”

You laughed. “Just wait.”

And there, right in front of his eyes, you turned into Tony.

Pietro felt the urge to scream and jumped back, starring at you with wide eyes. “(y/n)?!”

“You never asked what my superpower was. Why I am an Avenger.” Tony giggled like a lovely girl.

And again, you started to turn... into Pietro Maximoff himself.
Pietro starred at himself – no, not himself, you – and couldn't believe it.
You, his (y/n), were...

“I am a shapeshifter.” you beamed at him before turning back into your normal self.

“I don't understand. I mean... your powers are so damn awesome. But...” Pietro stuttered.

You blinked innocently at him. “Well, you were running with your super speed even though it was bad for your body. Sooo... I decided to teach you a little lesson.”

And suddenly, everything made sense to Pietro.

“You... you and Tony tricked me!!” he exclaimed and nearly collapsed for the third time now.

Smiling sweetly, you stood next to him and patted his back. “I wouldn't call it... okay yes. We totally tricked you.”
You couldn't help but laugh loudly. “You should have seen your face when you got back from the kitchen the first time!”

After your laughter ended and your stomach started to hurt, you wiped away a few tears.
“I told Tony about my plan and he gladly agreed. While he was waiting in the kitchen, I was in your room.”

“Looking like Tony.” Pietro finished and gasped. “So my powers weren't really fading?!”

“Of course not, you turtle.” you giggled and hugged him.

He wanted to be mad at you, but just couldn't. Not when you were pressing yourself against him like that.

Pietro wrapped his arms around you and returned the hug. “Can't believe you got me so badly.”
“Better believe it, Maximoff.” you chuckled.

“I should have kept that promise in the first place. But well, I know my sister. She'd never do that.” he said without thinking, enchanted by the lovely smell of your hair.

You stood on your tiptoes before whispering into his ear. “What? You were afraid that Wanda would tell me about your crush on me?”
“Exactly.” he said while taking in more of you scent.

And stopped.

“Wait what?!”
