So there was some artist on here who totally ranted on about people posting photos of their pets and yeah, I tend to agree there are definitely a LOT out there, but there are also a LOT of people who enjoy them! Not to mention I love taking photos of my loverly puddy-tats.
(and the fact that I haven't gotten outdoors to take photos because I am a big sissy that hates nerve pain.. hahaa.. means that I'm stuck taking photos in my place). My little girl "Cricket". She's a Ragdoll (Seal Torbie, I believe)...

Great photo, Jenn!!! I say poo poo to whoever the artist is that ranted about pet photos. The last I heard, a photographer has the right to take pictures of whatever they want. If he/she doesn't like them, he/she doesn't have to look at them!!! Could the reflection in Cricket's eye be you and your camera taking her picture?

I didn't hear from your mom, but by now I think they should have landed. I think she said they would get to Detroit about 6 pm. I'm so excited. I just finished baking a cake for her. I'm letting it cool right now, and then I can put the icing on it. I bought a little jeweled tiara at the dollar store and she's gonna have to wear it when she blows out the candles on her cake!!! I know this is the big 60 but I'm not gonna bug her about it. I'm just so glad she's gonna be here tomorrow. We're all ready for her. I'm such a lazy person, that I've been working like crazy to clean up the house over the past couple of days. I'm sure we'll have lots of fun this week. You take care of your back and get all better okay. Love you.

Thanks, Jenn. I will be sure and get some pics of your mommy in the tiara. That would be neat if you could come visit next year. And I will bake you a cake too!!! I remember your mom seemed to have a hard time when she hit 50, so I figured I wouldn't do a bunch of gag stuff for this birthday. I don't know if you remember, but me and Uncle John had a surprise party for your mom's 40th birthday. John made a big banner that said Lordy Lordy, Nancy's 40, and Aunt Barbara and I bought all kinds of "geezer" stuff, like hair coloring, laxatives, junk like that. Your mom saved all that stuff and Aunt Barbara got them on her 40th, and then I got them on my 40th. It was fun!!! Your mom, though, she looks so good for her age.
Sarah had emailed some pics from last Thanksgiving I think it was. When I saw pics of me from Derrick and Jen's wedding last month, I thought I looked like an old lady!!! A fat old lady actually!!! Oh well, I'm not going to mope right now. I'm just so excited about seeing my sisters. Last night I got the cake all baked and iced. I found these neat candles that spell out Happy Birthday and I'll put them on the cake just before I serve it. After I get off the computer, I'm going to put together some lasagna for dinner tonight. I figure I'll have it all made before your mom and aunt get here, and then we'll have more time to spend together.
