Another older shot.. this one I played around with a bit more.. .trying different things.. . Playing with photos is such a great distraction from life sometimes...

Anyhow.. this is my youngest one at the beach on a FREEZING day.. and as cold as it was.. I couldn't pull him away.. I believe here he's looking at a jellyfish that washed ashore... those are always fun..

You know Dan, it's about time you accepted how amazing I am... Ok.. totally kidding.. hehe... thanks for the compliment... and I would SO do a tutorial, if I knew how to do one.. unfortunately, I am not skilled enough to create one of those. However, I can tell you that aside from a few minor changes here and there sometimes, I go mostly off this wonderful tutorial by = P0RG : [link] ... sometimes I use "Hard Light" instead of "Soft Light" because the Hard Light gives a more dreamier effect... sometimes! Ok.. hope that is something you will find useful... and even though I'm a total tard and cannot do my own tutorial, I know that you will still love me forevers... ... I know this because you'll be brainwashed as my slave.. ( forgot to mention that part, eh?) sorry..

Wow, that is a bad ass tutorial, I'll have to give it a try I tried making tutorials before for C4D, they turned out 'ok'. I think you would do great with making a tutorial though, you should give it a try

SEE.. it's already working! (the brainwashing, that is!)

And I would give it a try if I knew more then 2 things about photoshop.. I guess maybe somewhere there's a tutorial on making tutorials?!?!?! how terrible would that be? I'm a dork. When you come out to Cali to bring my sweater, to be inslaved and to have me take photos of you and your wife at the beach (prior to the inslaving).. before all that, you will have to show me how to make a tutorial.. Deal! Tit for tat.. you help me with tutorial and I will turn you into the dominate slave... Works great for me.

Ya know, actually I just search on here for "texture" ... I have a folder in my favorites section that has a few that I use and then I have a few saved on my computer that I don't know where I got them.. which is terrible... but if you need some.. send me a note with your email and I'll send them on..

Very nice; I like how he almost seems distanced from the beach... somehow in his own space. His shadow is excellent, though, because it then grounds him again. haha. It's like a study in flotation without floating (okay, maybe I've completely misinterpreted it but I do have a cold right now so I can claim my brain isn't functioning right. haha).

There is so much I love about this one. It evokes a mood and brings back childhood memories. I love the "faded out" (for lack of a better word) effect at the edges of the photo, and the soft colors, and the reflection ... just everything. Incredible shot.
