You've pulled it off. I thought it was from the cartoon, at first! (Also you're a Portal fan too?! Awesome!)

Thank you ^^
But I have some problem with colors (Brightness / Contrast / Saturation), and I don't know what should I do to fix it. I mean, when I work on my laptop, the colors are different. They are less bright and not so contrasting. And when I copy the image to this computer, it looks to me like carnival in Brazil XD
Wow, you too? Portal - is the first game I was played on my computer And I really love it! The characters, music, plot - everything is perfect in it. And after playing Portal 2 I was angry for a long time for Wheatley XD Anyway, the game is great
And the cake is a lie!
And what do you think about Wheatley, GLaDOS and the whole game?

conniethehedgecat777 In reply to JennIncane [2017-03-25 19:57:01 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, maybe try messing with the settings on your laptop to bring those up? Other than that, I don't know much on the subject.
I love Portal so much! The puzzles are genius and the story is surprisingly complex. I think the character I love the most is probably Wheatley (yes, even after he turned me) just because of how much more interesting his character became when he became evil. At first, I was sore at him...but then I became curious whether he was planning it the whole time or not. I played the games more times than I can count, just looking for little hints that could have given the twist away (there are so many). And I don't care how sympathetic VALVe makes GLaDOS, I don't like her xD.
(I haven't heard the cake joke in so looooong! xD)

Good advice! Then I'll put them together and try to adjust. Thank you!
After Portal I even played Half Life. It is interesting too - there are a lot of diffrent weapons, locations and enemies. Of course, this is less intellectual game, but I like it too.
Well, eventually I forgave Wheatley. I feel sorry for him. I do not think it was complitely his fault in becoming evil. He was influenced by programs established in the Aperture system, I think.
Oh, this game has lots of secret corners and easter eggs I did not find even one of them, although I played many times too. I could not even save a Different Turret at first!
As for me, I love GLaDOS She frightens and admires me at the same time. I was always amused and frightened by her misanthropic phrases
It was an amazing feeling, as if she was talking directly to me. And I'm dumb XD
Haha, it's been a looong time since I heard it too! I noted that Portal lost popularity. May be because the Portal-3 is a lie too? XD

If that doesn't work, I bet there are some tutorials out there on the internet that can help.
AH, I love that one too! After I played Portal 2, I bought a game called the Orange Box. It basically contains Half Life 2 with Episodes 1 and 2, the first Portal, and a multi-player shooter called Team Fortress 2 (which is also an awesome game). While the puzzles aren't as complex as Portal, Half-Life has its moments where it makes you think. I like the end of Half-Life 2 when the Gravity Gun gets all juiced up and it lets you pick up enemies and throw them around like rag-dolls! xD
Ah, I remember that old argument. Whether Wheatley's evil transform is due to Apertures's programming or his own doing. Here's where I stand on the that issue: (Warning: Theorizing ahead, read at your own risk! xD) I believe that most of it, if not all of it, was Wheatley's fault. Saying that he became evil because of some programming doesn't make sense to me, as it goes against everything Portal 2 had established about the character, Wheatley is the most human character in the game.
At the beginning of the game, when you heard his voice behind the door, were you expecting a human? I was! I physically jumped back when I saw a robot, that's how shocked I was (I am not exaggerating, I swear). If his transformation was due to the Aperture programming, that would take away his element of humanity. Remember when I said I was looking for clues in the first part of the game that could possibly give the twist away? Well, one of the biggest ones I found is Wheatley's initial attitude toward us; namely, he is very manipulative! As sad as it is, it's important to remember that Wheatley is not our friend in the game. He is using us to get out of Aperture because he is afraid of the core blowing up. It is also important to remember that he was designed to be a moron, hence why he doesn't immediately turn on us when he is put in charge, but when he finally does realize...oh boy...
Another important thing to note is that Wheatley lashes out once he is in that position of power, something he wouldn't have dared to do before. I often compare him to a kid that has been bullied to the breaking point that has been handed a gun. He has been given the power to get revenge...and takes full advantage of it. I am so sorry for the long rant; I used to debate about this a lot back in the day.
The easter eggs and secrets are the best! My personal favorites are breaking Wheatley's screens and making one of the radios beep (there's a scientific word for it, but I can't recall right now ^^"). I'm glad you like GLaDOS, and I'll admit she's a cool character with some of the best voice lines in the game! I think I liked her best as a humble potato.
Maybe. To be fair, no one ever said anything about Portal 3 being made, that was just speculation (unless I missed something). They still have to appease the Half-Life crowd with Half Life 3, before they make even more memes! xD

Oh, yes, I saw this digest. I've heard a lot about the game Team Fortress. But there you play with other players, right? I'm always very embarrassed that I'm not a very good player (noob) XD. Moreover, at first I felt dizzy when I played Portal. I flew from the portal to the portal, the test room was spinning around while I was flip in the air XD In those moments I thought "How can I want a cake when my stomach makes a double somersault?" XD I'm not complaining, I'm just not very often playing first-person games
I'm very glad that you like Half-Life too! In this game a very interesting atmosphere and it leaves an interesting aftertaste. And did you try to carry dog's ball to the locality inhabited by the zombie? This is quite a fun show, because the ball begins to roll to zombie The Gravity Gun is really excellent multifunctional equipment! It was very fun to of throwing all sorts of things at enemies XD
Yes, exactly! At that moment I thought that there was an employee of Aperture behind the door, too! Wow! And I was just very surprised when I realized that the sound source is a bit higher than I expected xD
I think you're right about him. About how the programming changed his personality, but I think that the influence of programs brought to the surface his bad side of personality. Since he is the module of suppression of intelligence, he began to perform his direct functions. To this, probably, added properties of the software like an Itch. By the way, this is a very unusual thing in the game, which gave birth to a wave of fun and bewilderment among players XDD One girl even wrote that her father went into the room when she solve that simple first test and Wheatley... you know groaned "Oooh yes!"
That's ok! I love this topic too, although due to the language barrier I need some time to reply
I learned about Easter eggs from video reviews, and then tried to repeat some of this tricks from these videos. I do not know if this is an Easter egg, I was delighted with the song "Exile Vilify". I remember how I stood by the receiver, listening attentively to the song. It was something mysterious, something that made me feel the full effect of immersion to the game.
Haha, and I did not like GLaDOS-potato because it partially closed the visibility
Yes, I think that the continuation of Half-Life an Portal will not release soon. Maybe it's good if they even never appear. I mean, after all the continuations do not always turn out well enough. We know many examples of very bad sequels (for example 6 and 7 seasons of Futurama) XD

Lol, you say that like there are actual good players on the game. Don't sweat it it, everyone sucks at the game. It's literally just for fun. If you ever do play it, I recommend starting with either Scout or Pyro. Everyone says to start with Soldier, but he is kind of hard to master (I play him all the time and I'm horrible with him). Scout is fast, so he is ideal for running away from enemies, dodging attacks, and capturing intelligence (basically, capture the flag). Pyro is good for when you want to hit someone close range, with fire! The rest of it, you learn as you go. No one will judge you for playing poorly. And if they do, just ignore them. You'll have your revenge one day. I really love this game, as you can tell. ^^
Ikr? Portal was a really difficult to get the hang of, at first. Did you know that they were going to put this purple gel in the game alongside the blue, orange, and white gel? It was called adhesion gel and it would allow you to walk on walls and ceilings upside down...can you just imagine how dizzy you'd be doing that and portals!
No, I never even thought to bring DOG's ball! I'm going to try that next time I play. Thank you!
Yeah, I don't know why Wheatley's...er, reaction to the itch was necessary. I felt so uncomfortable during that! But, I'm glad you agree with me. So many people would counter with "No, it was just the machine!!!11!!1 Wheatley is a precious babe!!!1!" And I'm just, "That's what he wants you to think!" Honestly, I wouldn't have him any other way. He's so much more interesting that way. It adds so much depth to his character (and explains why he sounds so hurt in the boss fight, even while he is trying to manipulate you). In way, it did bring out his bad side, it gave him power. And that can mess anyone up.
I'm not too difficult to understand, am I? I forget about the language barrier because your English is so good.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure "Exile Vilify" is an easter egg; on the Playstation 3, it gives you an award for finding the room. I love the song so much! It's mysterious because the character it's connected to is the mysterious Doug Ratman (another favorite character of mine!). He's the best part of the game and we never actually see him! Just his paintings in the secret rooms. Have you been to the big one above the fan? If you get close to the wall with the paintings, you can hear talking and many think that it's him! Honestly, it's all so creepy.
I think that you're right about the sequels for Portal, at least. Half-Life ended on a cliffhanger, so we need something, even if it isn't a game. However, if they were to make a Portal 3, Doug should be the player. I want to see him make it out.

Thank you for advice! Maybe I can even meet in the game with my cousin He lives very far away and he said that he likes to play with Scout, sneaking behind enemies
I think I'll buy this game and try. Soooon))) Revenge... You know, I immediately remembered the song FIGHT TO WIN by Your Favorite Martian: "I ain't say video games make me violent"
Video games do not make me violent, actually. They help me to forget about the problems for a while and blow off steam
Oh, my! Purple gel? No, I did not heard about it before! Yes, this is an amazing idea, but... I think you right! It would be a great game to train the vestibular apparatus It would be fun if some inventions of Apertute Labs appeared in real life! Not to mention portals, they have many interesting things For example, I think many players are dreamed about mechanized heel springs
And I wanted to ask you about Companion Cube. Did you feel anything about this cube with a hearts on the sides? Because I'm not Of course, I realized that this wonderful thing helps me, but... But this is a passive help! Yes, it plays nice music, but this is just a cube (OMG, I got an idea to draw it with a Cube of Darkness. I'm insane, I know). In my perception, it was always like a Stamp from The Angry Beavers
Anyway, it's very interesting to me what you think about it, even if you have a different opinion
That's right! And that's another thing that makes him more humanized. It's amazing, that the robot wich does not have a human soul looks and acts more humanlike than the robot who has a soul (or mind, or somethig).
No, not at all! I had a good English tutor. Also I resort to the help of such sites as Urban Dictionary, Context Reverso and unforgettable Google Translate. Also I want to brag that I'm translating some texts (Fanfictions in fact) Although sometimes I make silly mistakes
Yes, I was there! Oh, the voice of Ratman!.. I went to the wall and tried to understand what he says. Yeah, that was creepy and sad a bit. At that moment, I even had a tear (though I'm not a crybaby XD ). Astounding, mysterious character. He managed to hide behind the panels and survive.
It sounds interesting, I would like to see him too.
I'm sorry I answered so long

Unless your cousin plays TF2 on the Orange Box, you can just download the game for free. They made it Free-to-Play a little while ago. Video games should probably relax me...depending on the game, it actually makes me worse lol (Half-Life usually relaxes me though).
There should be a video or two on Youtube showing some people messing around with the purple gel. Apparently, someone found a working version of it in the game files. The second I saw those boots, I wanted them! Imagine falling from any height and landing on your feet! Having portals in real life would be awesome too! Too bad we would need the poisonous conversion gel to even make them work, though...
Here's where I stand with the Companion Cube: I understand the concept behind it and why Chell would be attached to it...she's lonely. However, I don't understand why so many players fell in love with it. When I played the first Portal on that level, I just remember being frustrated with it because doing a puzzle with a single cube was hard (I was killed so many times). By the time I got to the end with the incinerator, I threw that thing in there so fast, I fell in with it... Not my proudest moment lol. So, yeah, I don't really care about it all that much (also GLaDOS tells us it will never stab us and she can't be trusted...watch your back...).
Hey, funny you should mention that about Wheatley not having a soul...I'm one of those fans who thinks otherwise. If Caroline's mind can be moved into a computer, whose to say that they could throw a few more minds into some spare cores lying around? Besides, because Caroline was so important, it would make sense to test it out on an intern or janitor first--and intern or a janitor that might have been Wheatley (he probably wasn't a scientist lol).
Ah, that explains it. It's impressive how good you are. English is such a hard language to learn, mostly because it has the weirdest rules.
That moment hearing his voice was downright terrifying to me! I think I was too scared to cry lol! Even creepier is when after you leave the room, all ways to get there are blocked. What are you trying to hide, GLaDOS?
Don't worry about the length. I love long replies. Especially from people who are fun to talk to. <3

Oh, it's great that developers made TF2 free! I wonder why? I think that games are good for brain, because we are learning something in it, trains the reactions etc.
I would not refuse to fly from portal to portal. But in life it is necessary to have good coordination of movements - you can hit hard at the edge of portal. Poisonous conversion, yes! While I was playing Chell, I heard that this gel is toxic. So I tried not to touch it or soak by it I did not want Chell to get sick.
Oh, it's clear now. And I at that moment strongly doubted. I felt some kind of dirty trick, when GLaDOS urged to throw cube... Well, this artificial intelligence allways know how to make you feel uncomfortable xD
Haha, wow! I think that you maybe right about cores So do you saying that cores was just a parts of experiment? As a kind of by-products? Oh, my it is make sence! And this is so Wrong and cruel. It is interesting what happens to the person at that moment? It seems to me that part of this testing subject may be lost. Somehow I remembered a story by Philip Pullman "The Golden Compass", probably because there were experiments over the individual in this book. Wow, I'm so glad to talk with you - you make me think and analyze!
Thank you! I'm afraid that sometimes I break the rules of writing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
13 days to reply... It's really long time Sorry about it - I had some work in grandmother's garden
