Okay, time for explain this.

I was thinking over the timeline of Undercover Arkham and Kim. And I realized something, Kim met the Riddler when she was 28. I plan for her to become a detective around 40. For Kim will have known the Riddler for about twelve years. Most of those years he spends as a detective (Because that's my favorite interpretation of the Riddler).

It's a fact that Edward Nygma's going to go back to crime, eventually. The idea that Nygma has stayed on the right side of the law for SO long made me start thinking about a 'how he would go back' scenario.

Basically the story behind this is that Kim (Yes the person in the hospital bed is Kim, gets jumped by the goons of someone she'd gotten on the wrong side of. She gets the living hell beat out of her. (I get the impressions baseball bats might have been involved). She suffered massive head trauma and blood loss. She did survive but ends up in a coma. I imagine she'd be in it for a long time. More then six months, less then five years. And the guy who caused it get's away due to lack of evidence.

As for the Riddler, he's been planning his comeback for a while now. He's had all the time in the world to create new challenges and riddles for Batman. Then the thing with Kim happens and... this.

So before he goes on with his plan he probably kills the guy who caused Kim's condition.

But yeah, this idea came into my head and I've been sitting on it for a while and decided to just go for it.

Also the two henchgirls are Query and Echo, from the comics.

I say they're not a couple, then I do this. Just shoot me. Shoot me now. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Not really that sorry.
