Description
Our Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union has this wonderful ongoing children's book project, where they publish a story about the "bird of the year", every year of course. I hope to illustrate one of the next ones, so I created this illustration as a test run using an already published story. Author of the book is Klaus Ruge.
I experimented with a combination of water colour and pencil for a very soft and atmospheric look.

I love that this is from the bird's perspective instead of the human's.

Thank you very much! The starling is the star of the story, so I thought it would be best to focus on him. Plus it gave me the opportunity to paint some apple blossoms
