Omg tis a Raesk!!
This has been my project over the last two days.
Raesks are a CLOSED Species by Elkaii

Elkaii had a special event stream where you were allowed to design your own common Raesk for free. So I streamed with her and so many Raesks were born that day. Lots of new babies! And this is my baby <3
During one of her streams I suggested creating a Raesk with a Nebula colour scheme and after saying it I kinda upset myself because I realised how much of a good idea it was XD So I'm glad it wasn't followed through on and I was able to design her with that pattern in mind. However due to the fact that the base Elkaii provided was of a painterly style it then meant that i had to painterly draw this which was very interesting for me. Not particularly hard to do as I didn't shade it really but very interesting. I found that i didn't care as much for layers as I wouldn't done in cell shaded works. But it was quite hard to get the look I wanted in sai, in photoshop i would've just opacity flowed a feathered brush but it's not the same in sai so the effect came out quite different. I kinda like it though, looks very shimmery. I mean i love the design but I've discovered a new technique haha. That chain is the most detailed thing I've ever drawn on a ref good lord. it's only 3 colours but it took forever! haha The Jewlery orbs didn't quite come out how I imagined? might edit them again later haha
