MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This is my secret santa gift for hosted by
I hope you like it ^^

When I was presented with this character i had the idea to have the character lent over looking at a flower in the snow and the camera angle was below him looking up. However, knowing my artistic ability i thought that pose might be a little to difficult. So I checked out the character ref and found his likes and dislikes [I do this with most work i have the freedom to create to try and create a piece of art that fits the character] and what I found out was that the character likes summer and nature and most importantly in regards to this picture, the fact the character likes bird song.

So with that I had this idea to have a bird sitting in a tree singing and Gerro, the character listening to it.

I had to use ref for the bird and i didn't try mega hard on the tree and all that as i didn't want to spend to long and a secondary object in the picture as I tried to get all these secret santas in on time.

When i first started linearting it i didn't like the sketch or the pictures out come. there was something that was off to me. I also noted how in the character info it said he was a wolf build just less fluffy, so i put minimal amount of fluff on him XD or at least i tried to XD. Also for some reason Gerro looks sad in this picture :/ which it a little annoying to me as i wanted him happy not sad XD haha

I also hope i got the markings right ^^'' i think they're pretty much right.

I also find it funny that im drawing a summer picture for a secret santa XD

Also I had 4 secret santas to draw so i tried to keep a theme with all of them. the theme i went for was like a badge type theme which it why his name is on the picture to add to that. I also think it fills that blank space quite nicely XD
