Description
20cm x 25cmacrylic and oil ~2009
This piece started as an experiment to see how much detail and smoothness I could get in an acyrlic portrait using open arcylics and lots of clear gel medium for texture. When I was happy with it I switched to oil to finish it off.
Unfortunately, this is the best photo i have of her and she has been sold on.

This is great! I love the animal that's wrapped around the face....it looks like religious art, which I always find intrigueing

beautiful, you;ve captured the beauty of that era perfectly, and I like the vertical pull of this piece -it emphasises her elegance, as well as strength. Lovely texture outside, and the contrast is very dynamic.
