All kids go through this ... it's often telling to see how the parent handles the exploration of the new frontier of walking for a kid. Some watch to make sure the kid doesn't get hurt while others run over and make sure the kid is ok, but some just ignore such tasks. Part of a being a happy and well rounded kid is allowing such excursions while being supportive and caring. I think if parents did more of that, there would be happier kids and a happier world.

Yup.
I love watching the kids here because the parents are very 'hands off.'
Even on skateboards and things they don't wear protective clothing.........they are free to learn.
