Thanks No real background story to speak of - I was a bit lazy there. But the pic used a new (to me) of photoshop called refine edge, which allows for a better extraction of fine edge detail from objects cut away from the original background. The difference in lighting meant a satisfactory match was had to come by but then i found the pic lent itself well to desaturation
