Description Hiya! It's me, Jenny! I did a new post and wow, it didn't take me 6 months to draw this time! It's another gymnastics-themed drawing again. (Man, good thing I've never done that before. )

Here we've got Sam doing his floor routine in a leotard, while the Trance-Ender sisters watching and enjoying his.........performance. (Stephanie's in purple, Sissy's in the pink.)

I strongly dislike this picture....probs bc the girls both like zombies and Sam looks like has the body of a 20 year old woman in college gymnastics. Also, HANDS  I hate drawing hands. grrrrr.......

Oh well, enjoy some peeps in leotards :derp:
If you can take the time to leave a favorite, please, please, please take the time to leave a comment as well. I love to hear what you guys have to say and I can't do that if you don't comment!

We are our own worst critics, but I like your art. You also have such a great ability in storytelling.Β

Aw. If you don't mind me saying so, I think you are being to hard on yourself. The art isn't bad at all. To me the girls don't look like zombies, it actually looks like they are posing for a picture with Sam who is doing the routine and too busy to stop and notice the photo being taken. I also like Sams hair and face with the pink lipstick. As an aside, drawing hands is so hard, but you can certainly do better then i can.

I don't dislike this picture (I mean you said in the description you strongly dislike the picture, so I'm saying I don't). To me it looks kinda like "here look at what you see and now close your eyes and imagine it in better in your own head" because just looking at it puts aΒ really sweet and realistic image in my head, special after reading your description.

I really like Sam's pose and leotard design! And I like that he's not just sitting there as I first thought but actually he's in the middle of doing something pretty, like one of those sexy poses that gymnasts like to do to begin and end their routines, which once again puts nice images in my head!Β I also really like how long and slender his legs look.

Seriously, the picture just speaks A LOT to me that I don't even care to analyze it in terms of "this is too big and this is too short", the picture just tells me everything I need to make my own imagination work.

So normally if the art is just bad and useless, I regret even looking at it, but here I regret nothing

Hello there. I know it's about three years late to reply to this picture, but frankly I don't care.

I really appreciate the fact that you can get so much joy out of a picture that I consider subpar, it means a lot to me that someone whose art talent I admire so much likes what I do in return. I don't know if I've ever told you this, but you've actually been a big influence on my continuing art style up to the modern day. Although my art is obviously not even close to your level, I've definitely taken some inspiration from the way you draw boys as opposed to my early pictures, where instead of being all blocky and stiff I've tried to make the bodies, especially Sam's, more slender and elegant, with longer limbs and slimmer, more sensual, but still boyish and innocent bodies.
The pose, in particular, I'm glad you liked, because it was, in fact, intended to be one of those "sexy poses that gymnasts do", but it was definitely something that came to mind when seeing the guys you draw, the way they're all so lazily elegant and lithe with their posing. That's also partially why I drew the "shine" on his leotard, because you are really good at the "shiny" leo look. And Sam's all happy because he's stretching in a way that he'd never thought he could, and that even your boys could certainly be proud of.

And although I must say he's not quite as bendy and flexible as the boys and girls in your gallery, I would just absolutely love it if you ever decided to some day draw Sam or some of my other characters yourself, stretching in leotards in the way we both love

Well, while you've been producing art about boys in leotards for years, I only started enjoying it myself at full rate last year. And I'm really happy with it, because I always loved leotards since childhood and after becoming an artist I always wanted to draw them but I guess I was too stuck with the idea that they're female-only outfits, but last year that conception finally fell apart

Aw, thanks! Was my art really the thing that allowed you to start enjoying boys in leos at a full rate? Because if so, I'm incredibly honored.
I think it's great that you loved leos as a kid, how did that start for you, exactly? And did you ever get interested in one-piece swimsuits, too? As they're much the thing, only for the water, instead.Β  And as I'm sure you're aware, I think that they should be a boy-approved garment as well

Yeah, I think that's a great idea! And nothing forbids some of the gymnasts from being good swimmers too. After all, synchronized swimming could also use some good looking boys

When I was a kid, my mother and grandmother had tons of books, I didn't like to read them but I checked every single book for any illustrations I could find, so one of the books had something in it about the olympic games with pictures of gymnast girls in leotards and so I instantly loved the looks of it.

sounds great to me! synchronized swimming costumes do have some truly lovely one-piece swimsuit designs. and synchronized swimming is basically gymnastics in the water Perhaps you could draw a pool picture where everyone wears one-pieces, boys and girls alike. Or maybe those are the swimsuits given to the gymnast boys to wear for recreational swim time. Or a synchro boys' team where they all wear the female one-pieces. The possibilities are endless

That's very cute. I remember watching it on TV and wanting to do that, but I'm guessing you never got the chance to participate in it yourself (that is, either in gymnastics or in wearing leos/one-pieces )

Better than what I can do my dear! Β A lot better. Β You know what you want to do, just go with it. Β People never understood Picasso to start with and look where he ended up.

Don't feel bad. Practice makes perfect. Also, this is still pretty good.
