Awesome scene! Love this! I love how soft and smooth your cloth always looks. I know you're using MD3, but I wonder what in MD2 I could do to achieve that? Is it the Particle Distance? I usually change that down to a 10 which helps, but the fabric always has a bit of a crinkly look, which I can smooth out in Hexagon. But still -- I'd love them to come out as beautiful as yours. Perhaps I'll have to bite the bullet and upgrade.Β

I'm not sure if it is MD3 alone, to be honest, because I don't know MD2. Maybe it's better, maybe also not, I use a particle distance of 7 to 10 also. Sometimes (it wasn't necessary here) I smooth out parts of the sheet with the Smoothing Brush in Poser. Also the shader is relatively simple, added a bit of translucence, but that's it.

Thanks again, very much appreciated!

Nice! Thank you! I think some of it is MD3 from what I saw during the trial of it. But I'll give the lower particle distance a try. And didn't even know you could smooth out in Poser -- I'll give that a try for sure. It may be similar to what I've been doing using the smoothing in Hexagon, though it adds so much more polygons to it for a lot bigger file size. I appreciate the tips! Β

The smoothing in Poser is done with the Morph Brush Tool or Morphing Tool (the hand symbol with the pointed index), select your figure or object, choose the tool and a pop up window appears with two tabs, in the "Create" Tab you can name a channel for your adjustment, choose the different actions, kind and size of the morph brush, when you move the mouse over your object/figure you can see and adjust the size of the brush. It all is very intuitive, but it needs a bit of experience how the mesh reacts and how to best adjust the Radius, Smoothness and Magnitude of the brush.

Awesome! I'll give it a try tonight! I'm embarrassed that I didn't know that, but then again, there's so much there that I don't know about. I really appreciate the tips, my friend. So nice of you!

Beautiful cloth Jepe, do you use pins or change the fabric preset, or just drag the cloth around a bit to get the crinkles?

Ehm, no, yes and yes! Thank you Steve, in this case I havn't used pins, but I sometimes I do of course, changing the fabric preset is one of the first things I always do, I think in this case it was Satin V2, but I often change the parameters inside. And I also always drag the cloth around in high particel distance and then lower it. It also helps to lower the gravity for a few seconds to get a bit more volume to the wrinkles before the final export.
