Description
Link, he come to town!Ahhh, this one turned out so cuuuute~! I want to keep him ;_; But he was a request by my brother for his birthday, so I'll have to give him up ;3;
You know, I'm starting to think it would be worth it to buy blocks of different colours, rather then making them all out of skin tone and then painting them o_o The green and white did NOT want to go on evenly or be opaque. So I had to do many coats of paint >>;

You're right, he is adorable!! The pros that I know often use art acrylics out of a tube for their masters, and I like the acrylic enamels which many hobby shops carry [i.e. the type that carry plastic models and pewter figurines]. Plus a coat of semigloss or dull coat can even out the paint job.
Nice work!!

Ha ha, I've been useing those enamels for props, and never even thought of useing them for my figures! Good idea

Basically, you wouldn't. He's got some *issues*. Swears like a badger, and ends up destroying most his stuff because frustration of severe add. Eh heh.. However I did learn a lot, and here's something for you: Try working with 'oil based clay'.

I'll take a look around when I go art shopping next ;O Though with things that never dry, I can see myself trying to 'fix' things constantly, and really just making them worse xD;

That's really cool.
You should market these things, make a few bucks...I'd buy one, that's for sure.

Jequila In reply to TheDiseasedOne [2007-11-19 12:04:22 +0000 UTC]
I would, because a few people have mentioned that they'd be interested. But... Well no one really wants to pay over $20 for one, and they take about a day to make and half another day to paint :/ It's just not worth it on my end.
Thanks for the comment though

Hey, if you ever get the chance (or just feel like it) p'raps you could make a Zelda one to go with it?

Thank you. Been wanting to get into sculpting, if only one time, and I'm looking at every possible type to see which is generally the best and somewhat easiest to work with.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Goldwave In reply to Jequila [2007-11-10 06:08:31 +0000 UTC]
mmmmm.......its bigger, thats for sure.... but i dont think its very different; oh yeah, how durable would you say fimo is? because if they're pretty similar, i bought 458g of sculpty to make a cosplay weapon, and i dont want it to break. is SAYS anti-chip and -shatter, but you never know

Jequila In reply to Goldwave [2007-11-10 06:19:26 +0000 UTC]
Depends what your making I guess. I dropped my Sora phone hanger and it didn't break, but I wouldn't want to drop it again. I also used Fimo for my orgy XIII coat beads, and they've been thrown everywhere with no damage so far.
Apparently sculpey sticks to itself better, so it makes better joins? I dunno. I really want to give it a go though!
