Description
the NLR Type 61 is a medium tank. It's technically the STA-2 but the STA series turned into the Type 61 and the STA-2 is the 2nd prototype version of the tank.Related content

Personally I would have gone with der Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausführung B Königstiger.

It's more for the fact that it's an MBT. If you check my page there's a list of each army in this specific universe/world and what they use for their vehicles.

Its a Japanese designed vehicle. the Type 61 was the predecessor to the Type 74 which looks even more odd.

There almost identical like the type 61 is based off of the claffe as for the type 74 well the body is based off of the m60 patton or leopard 1 German tank. I have a link so you can better understand the type 74 it also has a royal ordance l7 105 mmgun. Type 74 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the Type 61 was Japan's first MBT. They had the choice of making their own or buying a patton. The tanks underwent prototyping as the STA series of tanks. the Type 61 wasn't anywhere close to the M24 Chaffee since the Chaffee was a World War II tank. The STA was a vehicle all its own. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… the Type 61 doesn't look anything like the Chaffee.

the Japanese basically just designed their own vehicle. i feel they may have seen the design of a few tanks like the M26 Pershing for the turret and the hull was probably designed for the terrain of japan which is suprisingly mountainous.
