Description
A train passed by just few moments after taking the shot. Scared the shit out of me good... Next time I think I'll pull off my ultra-loud headphones when taking such shots.Related content

Headphones are always a good idea! Drowning in music, inspiration and emotions is always good idea! Trains... not so much. I'll stand by that!

Tee-hee! Yip! I find that the headphones hurt my ears - they squish them against my head... I prefer to play music over my sound system...

I need my music as close to me and as secluding me from the world as I can get. I'm quite an audiophile I've paid more for my headphones than for my player

You bet! I can have them on and playing for 5-6 hours straight before feeling first symptoms of my ears aching. They are quite big (for today's fashion of small headphones that hurts pretty quickly) so there is minimal strain on ears themselves.

WOW! I really need to get me some of those! Though, I must admit, I like all the noises of our house in the background... guess that's also partly the reason I like our sound system!

It's all about the situation. If you ever go on a lone trip far away - especially far away from civilization - do get one of those. It's hard to even describe, how much magic a good music fed right into ears can provide. I find myself simply stunned by beauty all around me when I got some more touching songs in my headphones and it makes taking shots really intuitive. On the other hand, with faster and bolder music, I can travel miles and miles and put up with a lot of discomfort just because of pure excitement. There was a time, when I've found myself running through the forest at dawn, with my bike on my shoulder (it got too tight to ride it), and with maddening buzzing of swarms of thousands of mosquitoes all around me. I don't think I would be able to handle the run nor the buzzing (it got THROUGH the headphones, while they pretty much silence out a passing car!) if not for the music. It's really working one me, I guess
Uhm... sorry for the rant? I like to rant

Yeah, that must be cool. Don't know, sometimes I just like listening to nature...Birds and the wind rustling through leaves... water gurgling... froggies singing... We actually had some froggies last summer in our garden. They decided to make our pond their home. So we had croaking and singing right here!
WOW! You can actually jog there? Here stuff like that is a little on the risky side... Need to lock down the house and take dogs with me... by then, well, I feel exercised!
Glad the mozzzzzzzzzzzzzies didn't suck the life out of you!!! Just had a look at your profile page! You look like quite the intellectual... what are you reading there?

I've tried to recall any place where I would prefer to listen to nature itself rather than to the music, but sadly I've came up with nothing. Not that I don't like it, it's just that I've never stumbled across charming enough place for that. It's a shame, really, I have to take it into consideration on my next trip, plan it out farther from cities and tourist paths, search for something like that But as for nature sounds, I can fairly remember a place when I was listening to it rather than to music - but in that case, out of instinctive fear. Like in a forest after the sun sets. It was a breakwater, and not in a port, but protecting entering into a watercourse. So there was no industrial sounds around, only wilderness, and breakwater itself is over 500m long and only 5 meters wide. So halfway to the end wind is roaring like crazy and waves breaking all around you seems vicious. And it wasn't too windy, really. Scary a bit, but also beautiful.
About jogging... I really do not know what to say. There are risks, yeah, but mostly because I get too excited and do dumb things, but it happens when I agree with it. Don't have to think twice. I guess its all about not only landscape changing with the distance.
As for book - it's Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, book they wrote before even gaining any fame and in disbelief of it making it anywhere. So if you like one of this guys, I really do recommend trying out Good Omens, book is hilarious

Good Omens... nope, haven't read it... I'm not really into Terry Pratchett... But that said, I haven't actually read any of his works. I was naughty and watched "The Colour of Magic". The film makers have probably corrupted the book... oh, well... too late for me!!! Did you know that "How to Train Your Dragon" is also based on a book? Man, these people are really running out of ideas! I assume that you have read the Bourne Identity? Ultimatum? Supremacy? I'm in the process of reading Identity... but once again, I watched the film before reading the book! *idiot* Decided to head back to reading Sherlock Holmes... LOVE those stories!!! Have any other hobbies?

They DID a MOVIE on Colour of Magic? Oh my... and How To Train is based on a book too? Damn... I LOVED this movie... had no idea! As for Bourne, I've seen the first movie a long time ago, liked it, but as I pretty much watch movies only with company and as a social event I'm preeeety much behind the news, as a LOT of movies is released nowadays. And with books I tend to stick to Polish authors, we have few really amazing. One of them, Dukaj, creates science-fiction, where science plays a great role and simply creating a model of universe He creates in one's mind is a task not to be disrespectful of. After some of his books I feel almost intoxicated and it is seen in my style of speaking and writing for weeks after I've finished the book. Love this stuff... this is kind of drug I say yest to
And about other hobbies... got a day or two? Or maybe just read the note
