Description After seeing the Fairy pic I drew a lady asked me to draw this Pixie. It's just a sketch but she looks good. She liked it, but honestly I can't tell the difference between a pixie and a fairy. Maybe one is more mischevious than the other but is there a visual way to tell? I don't think so.

Pixies live in mushroom patches and berry bushes while fairies live in trees and flowers I like to think of them as the "tom boys" of winged creatures...

pixies are smaller, usually much younger and their anatomy is that of a small child. thus, the mischeivious.
people have also begun drawing pixies are fairies, with torn wings, or certain details showing their mischeivious side; though it originally wasn't.

beautiful fairy/pixie by the way!
I love her expression ^.^ and the hair! gorgeous hair!

Ahh, well now I know and knowing's half the battle. Maybe I'll start drawing them that way from now on and drawing Fairies as the attractive ones. Makes me feel a little uncomfortable drawing a hot pixie thinking they're children.
