I can't even begin to talk about how much I love this piece, I finally caved today and bought the poster. So stoked.
Also found it awesome that you're a fan of Sam Weber, he went to the college I'm attending currently and had some of the same professors I do. It's pretty cool.

Ah, I saw that someone bought a poster, thank you! Yeah, I'm a huge Sam Weber fan. Apparently the model for success from the Alberta College of Art and Design (is that right?) is to go to SVA for your illustration masters afterwards. Are you thinking of doing that?

Not a problem, I've been wanting a print of it for a long time now.
And yeah it's ACAD, and I've been looking into some schools in the US to go on mobility/exchange to for 3rd year or to continue from. I've heard a lot of positive feedback about SVA so it's a possibility!

That's good. My advice is that if you don't go on to a masters degree, get an internship out of school at a creative company of some kind. Animation, video games, film, etc. I tried to go straight to freelance after school, and I really wish I had known about internships while I was still a student.

It's funny you mention internships, that's why I'm hoping to go to the US for mobility. Lucas Arts has a couple in California I was looking into, I figured internships would be a great way to get my foot in the door.
I can imagine freelancing is a pain at times, I'm living with a graduate right now who did the same thing. I hope things are picking up for you at least?

Yeah Lucas Arts, ILM, Dreamworks, and Pixar are great places to start. Things haven't been picking up for me, but I've come to except that illustration is more of a hobby.

And I really admire your style so that's sad to hear you're not pursuing it full-time anymore. Understandable though, and I hope you don't give up entirely on it in the long run.
