They just wanted something more "trippy". I suppose doing art for your own band counts for something. I used to do art for my band in high school. Pushead started off with his band septic death.

Yeah.
Well i liked it.
it was good, it had a light and dark sode to it.
I thought it was eye catchy and almost shoking just on a user friendly level.
i would have chose that.

Is the pink stuff his crystallized blood? I love how the corpse looks somehow alive in his expression, as if he's stuck in that contemplative emotion for eternity.

Yeah, it was rejected, then I went through rounds and rounds to do the next one (it's in my gallery; "heavy sci-fi") and so it took about 2 months before it was finally over. That was in like October, and I still haven't been paid. This is just one good example of why I gave up record covers.
