That is genius art in Maya! WOW!
One think though is the rice..for some reason the grey colors in it makes it look kind of rotten. I always thought rice shaded in a more pale yellow tone, and didn't get to a really dark grey in that kind of shadowing, but I could be wrong!

Yep, rice are a little more creamy than you might think and you also need to use SSS to get them looking real I think. The "bloom" effect on the two rice in the foreground is also not helping the "look real part" but they help with the image composition.

This is amazing. But, the rice does look a little fake, which is how I knew right away that this wasn't a photograph. It is too white, which makes it look like something else. But overall it is a great image. The orange and other colors look very realistic.

Looks wonderful, but I think that the texture of the rice is a bit off... Cooked rice in sushi would look more- blurred, I guess? Kind of soft and mushy.
