I love the cut marks on the wood underneath. That really makes the piece look more like a photo.

The only thing I could pick on is the rice

Quite nice, but you should use like subsurface scattering for you rice. But it takes a lot of time and effort to model rice.....kinda like picking rice. LOL. grain by grain....and then counting it.....while toddlers are learning to count.....yea....

I agree the rice looks plastic. You could make it slightly transparent.

The texture is a great idea. I saw the ad for your gallery with this picture and I really wanted to see it up close, but when I enlarge the picture I get a big headache from the amount of background blur in this picture. The wood texture doesn't show as well as I previously thought.
As the blur serves it's purpose in centering focus on the front sushi piece, my eyes are distracted by the white blurry bowl rim.
