Description
For 's Speedy Du Jour topic: GiantCame out alright at best.
Not too fond of this one though..evoking a sense of scale is a lot harder than I thought, as well as creating dynamic angles..

Dynamic angling in my opinion is always a challenge in speed paintings.
But I think the opacity of the giant works; it gives it the presence against the figure in the foreground

Indeed it is
Thanks, you are right but I can't help but observe that the landscape is kinda pushed back due to the sharper contrast of the giant, making it almost seem as if the giant's leaning over the landscape, an unrealistic effect. I accomplished what I set out to achieve but can't help but wonder if there could've been a better way to resolve the issues..

try a taller canvas and the structure in the background should mist and fade as its farthest away

Will try the taller canvas. I knew about the mist but had a time limit
