Description Trying to develop some cool looking backgrounds for characters, this was my first attempt. Now days, I don't know if the (American) patriotic back ground fits with the character or not, but I ran with it anyways.

As I was working on this I started to wonder why Wonder Woman never really caught on. I mean we all know who she is, but not her supporting cast, villains and what not. If you read this and have any thoughts on the matter I'd love to hear them.

The problem with WW was caused by people like Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka, Bruce Timm, Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Dan Dido, David E. Kelley, etc. who distorted, sabotaged, & derailed the spirit & integrity of the WW mythos like a bunch of juvenille delinquents fooling around with ancient antiques. They failed to listen to Mark Waid's message of how superheroes should be treated in his book, Kingdom Come. They seemed so desperate in corrupting & overhyping her into something she is not--a bloodthirsty, ignorant but edgy warrior savage with an attitude & that's not wonderful at all.

This is a problem with the way Superheroes have been distributed to the public. They're catering to irresponsible adults over a general audience. This is why Wonder Woman never really caught on. These people that I've mentioned above have proved that misogyny & illiteracy are thriving but sickening.

Overall, I agree with your thesis.

But..... (notice there is almost always a "but")
I think not only is that true, but also Wonder Woman has been less well defined in the modern era, and no hero can exist with out a clear role, and perhaps a clearly defined rogues gallery.

Her detail in beauty and realism is awesome. Great work on her pose, facial appearance, and muscle formation.
Very elegant and sexy, too.
The costume is perfect and the brightness of the background is a nice change, too
