Description
Commonly known as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history. It began on June 6, 1944 as part of the Allied invasion of Normandy during WWII.The United States Army 1st and 29th Infantry Division landed on Omaha Beach, one of the 5 landing sectors chosen by the Allied for their invasion (The others are Utah, Gold, Juno, and Sword). But the defenses there were stronger than they expected and the landing troops suffer massive casualties along the coastline, unlike the other four. As a result, Omaha is the only place with the heaviest casualties (Between 2000-4700 U.S. soldiers were killed, wounded, or missing), most of which are in the first landings. But they succeeded in capturing the beach.

The scene depict the D-Day landing at Omaha, where the U.S. soldiers are pinned down on the beach by German MG42s and struggling to advance.
