A revamp of
One of my favorite revamps that I've made actually. I experimented with eyes and mouths for a little while to get these shapes. I think it makes the icon look like his eyes are bulging out with suspense or something

I like this one a lot better than the original fear emote, the facial expression is a lot better on yours (and should look even better if you attempt the eyebrow thing that Droney said)!
I see you also tried to give him a petrified look, since he doesn't move at all really, that also looks good, but I kinda like how the original moves back and forth a little when he looks around, better. But I guess it'll look better petrified with the eyebrow thing, I don't know.

He doesn't look kinda scared... Maybe add some eyebrows and make the corners of his mouth lower

You can put some eyebrows above the emote, like in the air and make him look sad like.. that's the best why to explain what i mean
