Description
He was moaning in pain.Severus Irongaard. Yes. That is what they call him. He was once a prince from a far away land. No one knew where he came from, except that he was a prince. He’s now no longer one of the folks, but he is one of the touched.
Severus was ripping his fur-coated skin off. That is why he moaned in pain. Grasping for breath, he sat under a tree where he thought no one could see him. As he took in every deep breath, he used all his might and ripped off the furry skin to show the skin of a folk. After each time, he moaned. The moaning got louder than he thought. Soon, he was screaming, and with a folks’ ear, it could have sounded like a werewolf roaring in pain. Little did he know, there was someone watching behind some tree.
Severus always wanted to know how a werewolf could transform himself from a folk to a touched. Now he knows. And it was a painful lesson. He never thought that the post-transformation of a werewolf could be such a pain. He was never fully a werewolf because he couldn’t transform into a wolf whenever he wants. The only way he could be a wolf was to pray for full moon. Last night was the night.
With just rags to cover up his crotch, he got up from that tree he was leaning on and walked deeper into the forest. Soon, he reached a lake. While still suffering from the post-transformation, he knelt down near the side of the lake and cupped his hands; hopefully he’ll get a handful of drinking water.
As he scoops for more water, he begun to realize that there’s a reflection behind the ripples in the water. As the ripples began to settle and soon became still, he saw his own reflection. With yellowish eyes and fangs as sharp as a knife, he started to become afraid of himself.
“What has happened to me?!” he yelled, deep inside his heart. Tears began to flow out from his eyes. Soon, a sob was to be heard. He was emotionally not ready to be a touched one.
Once he could regain his composure, he stood up and returned to where he came from. As soon as he turns his face towards his destination, he spotted some movement behind the trees.
“Hello?” he asked politely. “Is there anyone behind the trees?” There was only silence. So, Severus thought it was just the wind. But he could smell that there’s someone indeed behind the trees. Since he became werewolf, his sense of smell has been heightened to a certain degree.
As he stalks slowly and nearer to the trees his keen sense of smell confirms that there is somebody around.
“Look. I know you are there. Come out. I won’t hurt you,” Severus said. “I won’t hurt you.”
‘How could I not hurt you,’ he thought to himself. He thought since he’s now a touched one and the person behind the tree could have probably seen him ripping off his wolf skins. It’s impossible for any one from the 7 clans to not be afraid of a half wolf half human.
“I’m a werewolf. But that only happens at night and if the moon is full. So, I’m still a folk now,” Severus persuaded. A figure began to form a silhouette against the ray of sunlight skimming through the woods. To his surprised, Severus…
