You are off to a great start, no worries
I am personally not a fun of over-edited photographs, but some people are, so the way you edit should be up to you and your own opinion. Photography is meant to express a story and/or an idea
By my own personal opinion, I think too high of a vibrancy causes unnatural coloration and too sharp of a contrast. One of the reasons most all of my photographs have very minimal editing. But others might disagree, so it is great to gather a bunch of opinions
