so the idea for this one started with my constant increase of hatred towards Safeway.They hired me back in December sometime and made it perfectly clear that my "unique" image had to go. In order to be hired I had to chop off a huge portion of my bangs, strip it clean of ALL 'un-natural' color, shave everyday and take my peircings out before every shift. I also had to wear black polishable work shoes, black grandpa-style pants, and have my shirt and uniform pressed and clean for my shift, with my hair combed neatly and out of my face.
Anyways yeah, this is my therapy in a sense. Being that I couldn't actually lash out or anything of that nature, I drew myself being as spooky and weird as I could. I dreamed of actually doing this at work on NUMEROUS occasions.

Man, I always feel so bad for employees in retail and food stuff. I'm always nice because I know I'm gunna end up with a shit job like that eventually.

yeah, Safeway is pretty fantastic to shop at... but don't ever work for them, they're evil and dangerous and will ruin your schedules.

I sure did take the job. I have student loans to pay off, $200 a month rent, and about a bajillion dollars in long distance bills from calling Megan so much, so yeah... I needed whatever job I could get.

I don't have Safeway around where i live but that really sucks that they would tell you to do all that stuff to work there. i have friends who had to change their appearance for work related purpose and i just think its really stupid.
this drawing is fantastic though so im glad you got something positive out it. the colouring is really good especially the green slimy stuff (kinda grossing me out just a little but thats a good thing)...
if i was a manager at safeway i would be freaking out if i saw this coming out of the parking lot pushing shopping carts to get me
