Description On the road, in style with AJM..... Somewhere where it's 60 degrees at 9pm

Turns out, he happens to have the perfect desert-mobile, and its quite photogenic. So far, my best photos include his ride...

That's all for now... (and I don't want to hear about the dust bunnies, I am plagued right now)

Thanks, I miss riding sooo bad. Cannot wait for the trails to thaw and dry just a little bit!

that must be an interesting experience ... riding in iced dusty trails... hehe ... im thinking about making today the first day of the mountain biking season

it was pretty cool, would have been better if the ice/ground were more consistent. Had to stop every couple hundred yards to wade through mud or snow, or both! Cannot wait for May to come!

All Hail Mountain Bike Season!

The car is super tight, I already saw one of AJM images of the car, figured it would be in your images of the trip to, and why not...an old Lincoln.

The car is a trip for sure going 95 feels like 70... AJ has to consciously drive light-footed

 You should have felt it going nearly 80 down some ranch land roads today... I'm sure you know the type - "unimproved" - gravel, tire grooves, half washed away in parts

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PatrickJDavis In reply to jerryhazard [2008-03-09 13:45:29 +0000 UTC]

Aaahhh, yes, "unimproved", ranch roads and "earth" roads are well known to Amy and myself. They can be a bit un-nerving, but I'm guessing the dirt roads were dry for you guys, wet would have been a nightmare.

jerryhazard In reply to PatrickJDavis [2008-03-09 15:15:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh, hell no, if it was wet, it would have been all over.. no, dry as a bone, kicking up a dust trail that could be seen miles away I'm sure. If you've done those things wet... you have attained driver-hero status for sure

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PatrickJDavis In reply to jerryhazard [2008-03-10 02:01:28 +0000 UTC]

We have done the wet thing twice and we will never...ever...do that again, not without a killer 4X4. I don't know if you remember me telling you about it. Once on the back road from Veyo, Utah trying to get to Enterprise, Utah...bad decision #1. The we did it again trying to get from Pinto, Utah to New Harmony, Utah...even worse decision #2. That one we got stuck. Yea, always keep your head about you, unless it's bone dry or you have a good 4X4 steer clear of wet "earth" roads, for sure.

You probably keep getting asked this, but why does that look like a fisheye?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jerryhazard In reply to KSDale03 [2008-03-06 06:15:45 +0000 UTC]

nope, you're the first one to ask... it's because, well, it IS a fish-eye Peleng 8mm. It's cropped a bit though....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KSDale03 In reply to jerryhazard [2008-03-06 06:19:58 +0000 UTC]

I was really getting confused because of the given aperture on the EXIF data, I thought it might be the Sigma 20mm. EXIF is confusing and untrustworthy...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jerryhazard In reply to KSDale03 [2008-03-06 07:13:33 +0000 UTC]

I dunno... It's been pretty good to me. The lens I'm using, is an all-manual lens - there is not electronic interface, so the camera cannot read the lens data - thats why aperture and all that show up as zero

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KSDale03 In reply to jerryhazard [2008-03-06 07:19:10 +0000 UTC]

I figured it was manual since it's a converted lens. Looks like a very nice one
