Description After viewing NeroGiest's new concept art for The Clairvoyant, I decided to rework the weapon. The shaft is longer for increased range and defense, and the spear now has an added stab and slice abilities. The hand can go very close to the blade for better maneuverability.

The bladed part is much shorter now, it almost looks more to be used like a mace for bashing and crushing. Personally I prefer his original design for it, the shortness allows more speed and precision, as well as greater maneuverability. She can literally use it as an extension of her own limbs (Did I word that right? I feel there is a different way to say that phrase)

The main problem I had with the original was that the length was too short, a sword would be way more effective at that length, after all a spear has range but not the close defense a sword offers. And hollywood portrayal aside, any experienced spearman destroys an experienced swordsman, because the zone that a spearman controls is bigger. Any distance within thrusting distance is a threat, while a swordsman is only effective in the relatively short range a sword offers. Only if the swordsman is fast enough and spearman inexperienced enough can the swordsman parry and get within striking distance. So looking at it from a battle perspective, a spear doesn't need speed and precision in the horizontal or vertical directions, just in the two dimensional front and back. Therefor, a longer spear is better. If she needed an extension of her own limbs, she should've picked the dagger, after all its the quickest. The spear is more of like an extension of a punch, long-range and dangerous.

But I do agree that the point is not pointy enough. It wasn't intentionally a mace, I think it just happened to turn out like that. Looking at it, it appears quite ridiculous now. Thanks for the first constructive critisism, I will use this to improve.

Yeah that's true, I guess in a sense the original design is actually more of a lance really now that I think about it

X3c no problem~
