I prefer the IS 2 to this version I think they tried to make the front armor proof against the 88mm

I didn't know there was IS-3. I though there was only IS-2 version. Quite heavy, isn't it?

ya, went into production in early 1945 but too late to participate in fight... 122 mm gun, meant as counterpart to German Tiger. Too slow and too difficult to aim. Seen some action in Arab - Israeli wars, not successful - already obsolete that time.

it paticipated in fight but not in europe but in asia to free china from the japanese

oh man, thats a drag.
all they needed to do to make it sucessful was to make it lighter or put a better engine in there.
