Okay, first off, I am aware of 2.5 and some of the aeon stuff contained within. Please don't get into any of the 2.5 Eternal Cost or Will plots in comments, I really don't like to talk about them.

With that in mind, I was interested in Yuna and Tidus becoming the same Aeon. The Magus Sisters prove that more than one person can be sealed in a single fayth. Originally, I was going for a more consensual version of the idea of Mateus the Corrupt, a summon from FFXII. That Mateus kidnapped a lesser goddess and strapped to the front of him as a shield. Essentially, I liked the idea of Tidus, being confronted with the idea that Yuna had to become a summon, decides to go with her as her guardian, even if it's only as a sentient piece of armor. The idea evolved as I worked on it, but honestly the the last thing I want right now is a depressing FFX AU

I've gone back and forth on putting a mature warning on this and finally decided to leave it off unless people complain. It seemed to be implying that sexy things were happening in it, which wasn't the intent. Honestly, most of Yuna isn't showing, there's no reason to believe she's naked. I also liked the claw marks on the back as a symbol that he was there to help share her emotional and physical pain. It was meant to look like it was created by her reaction to the presumed pain involved with being turned into a living statue, and meant to look like skin wounds opening up onto a stone interior. Being a fayth is lonely and difficult, and even though they're no longer able to feel each other or speak, he will be by her side. Not just until the end.... Forever.

Now go away, I hate feels.
