I want to give a thousand thanks to harrietsfriend for his critique on the original version of this image uploaded. Not only did he see what needed to be done but he even showed me what to do. He suggested straightening the vertical lines and doing a slight crop of some negative space on the left of the original. I'm so glad to have met amazing photographers here on deviantART that actually care about the amateur photographers like myself and to have learned a lot from them and the days yet to come.

Also I forgot to mention something else that harrietsfriend did with the edit. Notice the play on words? 'HOP' that he saved with the crop? I find that goes amazingly well with this gentleman's posture. It came from out of 'Music Shop'

I read the sign as saying 'Hope' rather than 'Hop' because of the three lines next to his head inside the frame of the words. I really like that because it adds so many narratives that you could read into it e.g. he is waiting for a phone call/text and hoping that everything is going to turn out okay.
I also love the contrast in this; black and white photography can be so beautiful and this is a perfect example of that.

Wow, really great photo. The composition is perfect, as well as the contrast between different greys, black and white.
The thing I like the most about it is that it's so "normal". It shows the beauty of everyday life. You've captured just the perfect moment, it's really interesting to look at.

I think that he is sitting on something though,there is something covered by his upron,just slightly visible from this angle.Although magic shot,really good composition gives impression that is from many years ago
