well in modern factories(that arent robotic) heavy machinery poses a great threat to life and limb, especially with no safty regulations in place. his arm got cuaght in a sheet metal pounder, and molten metal from forge hit him in the eye, singing it out of his head, the guantlet on his real hand it basically a large battery, wich powers tools and the like, the back pack is the battery for all other functions.
minions dont have a workers union.

Whoa! He gave up his arm for a chainsaw? Now that's something. Actually, I did have something in mind like that, but it would be Giblet doing it to someone else.

obviosly it wouldint be a chainsaw, what with the different time setting, but what would it be? and to whom? and thanks for the comliment!

Still deciding on what it's going to be, but it's going to help a red back into the upper world and onto the back of the largest salamander of the Last Sanctuary.

i know, how about giblet grafts on another dead minions arm, from a different clan? you know, a blues would make it able to cast limited healing spells, but have none of the rest of there abilities, or a browns, so he can handle heavy weaponwry...looot a possibilities.

I could help all of the mangled Minions from the forge and the rest of the Tower back into the fray, yes... though IΒ΄m not going as far as Quaver and Nubbin from the private quarters XD OlΒ΄ Giblet may get very creative in the near future.

Prosthetic gonads with build in flamethrowers?

For Nubbin? XD His reaction would be priceless.

If only I could incorporate all of your and my own ideas. If I did, the story would become too insane even for this site.

The more insane, the better! As if greens humping their mounts and getting loads of freak babies isn't insane enough...

Yes, but I can get that in relatively discreetly. Flaming gonads on a former duster are less easy to work in without Nubbin taking over the entire battlefield, rocketing to the Palace and burning SolariusΒ΄ face off in a rather original manner.

The mental image made me laughing so hard I'm close to throwing up on the keyboard now.

Watch out now. You donΒ΄t want to buy another keyboard... I have experience with the vomit of greens...

IΒ΄d love to take a peek at their internal organs. DonΒ΄t give us those silly piglets, hand us some greens and let Mortis have them resurrected afterwards.

It's not that spectacular. A bit different proportions, shapes and arrangements, some minor parts missing and some additional parts present.

How about a hook? It can be used both for climbing and fighting.

And holding on to the salamander (as Sear is going to be the main rider). Would have to be a very sturdy material though, withstanding being white-hot all the time.

And besides the climbing and fighting, it's a reason for pirate jokes.

Metals would be a bit tacky, considering they are in a reduced state and the parts will have to be constantly replaced. I'm also wondering how the prosthetic is controlled, should the original arm have been severed above the elbow.

Giblet will have plenty of time to think over both issues. IΒ΄ll figure something out.

Maybe using a heat-resistant mineral or ceramics...which have the disatvantage of being unelastic. But I know from own experience that ceramic blades are very, very sharp. Must look up how they are made, since I'm not sure if they can make them with their technology.

Sunjinjo In reply to Ramul [2010-09-14 19:42:32 +0000 UTC]
Ceramics are brilliant. Covering the flat ends of the blades with arcanium has to make them sturdy enough for battle...
Weeell we have some forging techniques and a bit of magic, maybe...
Lose some of your fingers to one of those?...

No, just a slight tap with the blade and had a cut. But my father managed to cut to the bone once.
